DETAILS of bus services for this year's Bestival have been published by Southern Vectis.

From tomorrow (Thursday), the company is running a shuttle bus to the Robin Hill site, leaving from stand F at Newport Bus Station every ten minutes from 7.35am until 7pm and then hourly, from 7.05pm to 11.50pm.

The service costs £3 for a single and £1.50 for under 19s on proof of age or entitlement.

The company said on Facebook: "From 9am on Thursday until 3.30pm on Monday, buses on route 8 will be scheduled to run to the normal timetable but will be diverted via Blackwater between Arreton and Newport.

"They will not run via Pan and Long Lane.

"During the diversion a special bus will run on route 8 between Newport bus station and Downend via Pan at the normal route 8 times. Normal fares apply on this special bus.

"This bus will depart from stand A in the bus station.

"Delays are likely and passengers should allow extra time for their journey.

"On Thursday and Friday the route 23 will not stop at the Robin Hill bus stop which is closed.

"On Monday route 23 will be diverted via Blackwater, Arreton, left into Watery Lane, left into Winford Road to Newchurch to rejoin the normal journey.

"Between Thursday and Monday route 33 will not stop at the Robin Hill bus stop which is closed.

"On Monday it will be diverted in the Newport — Ryde direction and will operate via Staplers Road, Long Lane and left into Briddlesford Road to rejoin the normal journey."

The Big Green Coach Company is operating shuttle buses to the site from ferry and hovercraft terminals, starting from 6am tomorrow. The service will not run on Saturday.

Earlier this week the Isle of Wight Council issued advice for drivers.
