SIR ELTON John has described his Sunday night headline performance at Bestival as one of the best evenings of his career.
The star headlined a bill featuring hundreds of performers at the Isle of Wight event, which attracted a sell-out crowd of 55,000.
Curator Rob da Bank said: "Words fail us in the Bestival office as to how fantastic a crowd you guys were and what a spectacle you all made right across the weekend, so big up and respect to all of you.
"Thanks as well to Mother Nature for a nearly all sunny show and we hope you enjoyed all the amazing live acts, DJs, films, comedians, walkabout and actors as much as we did. A vintage year for Bestival and we owe it to all of you.
"We're off to wash our hair and think of a theme for Bestival 2014. Get ya thinking caps on."
Sir Elton said: "One of the best evenings of my career... Amazing!" and Friday night headliner Fatboy Slim, whose performance featured the talents of the Medina Community Choir, said it was "the best gig of my life!"
Both artists have released recordings of their performances, which are available via Concert Live.
Proceeds from the sale of both will go to charities including the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, which is also set to recieve £1 from the sale of each ticket from this year's event.
Tickets for next year's event, which takes place from September 4 to 7, will go on sale from Friday.
