ORPINGTON'S Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) has met to discuss building peaceful communities.
Representatives from local groups came together to share ideas and 11 short talks were given.
Topics included the work of the Orpington branches of Amnesty International, United Nations Association and the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom.
Chairman of Orpington CND Sheila Triggs, who has been actively campaigning for 40 years, outlined some of the the group's successes and spoke on nuclear power and nuclear weapons.
