ISLAND weather expert and new Isle of Wight County Press forecaster Jamie Russell has put together an exclusive forecast for the Bestival weekend.
According to Jamie, of Island Visions
, revellers at Robin Hill can expect some good weather over the coming days.
Jamie has developed his forecasting skills through a lifelong interest in meteorology and his work as a landscape photographer, whose work has been featured around the world.
Here is his forecast in full:
Another warm day ahead, but with some fairly large areas of cloud. While the sun is likely to break through at times, the cloudier periods may produce some very light drizzle. It will feel very warm and humid when the sun breaks through with temperatures up to 25C and light winds.
Once again a lot of cloud about with just the outside chance of the odd light shower, but if the sun breaks through it will push the temperatures up to a warm 24C, with more light winds.
Sunshine and broken cloud looks to be the theme of the day once again.
The risk of a very light shower remains, especially during the afternoon but it certainly shouldn’t cause any problems. It will still be quite warm with temperatures up to 22’c in a light to moderate South Easterly breeze.
Pretty much perfect weather for Bestival goers, not too hot, not too cold, light winds, occasional spells of sunshine mixed with cloudier periods and apart from a few patches of light drizzle drifting about it will be mainly dry. Temperatures between 22C and 26C with night temperatures between 14C and 17C and mainly light winds throughout.
