TWO local people had success at the PPP Healthcare-sponsored British Indoor Rowing Champonships held in Birmingham's National Indoor Arena with the largest-ever entry since its inception 11 years ago.
There were more than 3,000 rowers competing overall, aged from 10 to 91 and comcing from as far afield as New Zealand, which attracted more than 5,000 spectaors on finals day.
Bromley's James McNaughton rowed to third place in the men's junior 13 category after covering the 2,000-metre course in 6mins 57.4secs on the Concept indoor rowing machine.
The other bronze medalist was in the women's 50-54 heavyweight category, when Biggin Hill's Rosemary Donaghy came third, having clocked 8mins 27.0secs for the 2,000-metre course.
