A HOST of acts joining the bill at this year's Isle of Wight Festival have been announced this morning (Monday).

Organisers revealed the latest names to join headliners The Stone Roses and Bon Jovi would include Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding and the Happy Mondays.

They will be joined by Jake Bugg, The Script, Bloc Party, Fun, Bonnie Raitt, Imperial Teen, The Farm, Blondie and Republica.

*Festival promoter John Giddings said: "We are proud to present some of the best new music around, together with artists who helped scope the face of modern music- it’s a stunning combination so far."

Paloma Faith said: "So excited to return to one of my favourite music festivals this year and hope the sun shines as beautifully as it did when I last played."

The festival will be an Isle of Wight debut for Jake Bugg, described by organisers as the most exciting new singer/songwriter in the UK. His eponymous debut album reached number 1 earlier this year.

Blondie, who played the Isle of Wight Festival in 2010, said: "Oh the Isle of Wight Festival is one of the best and most famous festivals in the world.  Can't wait to play it again this coming summer, 2013.  Blondie plays Isle of Wight, 2013, yeah!"
