Body found in search for missing woman

ISLE of Wight Police searching for missing woman Molly Kenyon have found a body.

The discovery was made at 2.45am on Thursday (13) near to the shoreline in Freshwater Bay.

A police spokesman said relatives of the 76-year-old, who had not been seen since Monday, had been notified about the discovery, and formal identification and a post mortem would take place in the next few days.

The death was not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokesman thanked everyone involved in the search, particularly HM Coastguard and volunteers from Wight Search and Rescue.
