THE County Press and Isle of Wight Radio Charity Challenge kicked off on Friday night with a Bowlathon at Ryde Superbowl.

More than 20 teams from businesses across the Island battled it out over a fun-packed evening, raising more than £1,000 for the Carisbrooke Priory and Young Carers charities.

Top honours went to the team from A. J. Wells and Sons, who notched up the highest score over two games of bowling.

The next Charity Challenge event will be a fancy dress Zumbathon at Medina Leisure Centre. For further information and to take part, visit www.iwcp.co.uk/zumbathon.aspx or like our Facebook group, www.facebook.com/iwcharitychallenge
