A YOUNG boy was taken to hospital by ambulance after a crash in Freshwater yesterday (Thurday).
The 11-year-old was put onto a spinal board as a precaution after the single-car accident on Newport Road according to the Isle of Wight ambulance service.
He was taken to St Mary's Hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
