FIREFIGHTERS called to Aylett's Close in Brading were told a television had caught fire and set light to the living room curtains in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Crews from Sandown, Shanklin and Newport were called to the house at 1.23am and discovered the householder had extinguished what turned-out to be a small fire.
The firefighters spent about 30 minutes at the house.
