FORMER broadcaster and gallery owner Kenneth Kendall has died today (Friday).
In 1955 Mr Kendall, became the first televised BBC news reader and he went on to work for ITN and become the presenter of the gameshow Treasure Hunt.
He suffered a stroke at his Cowes art gallery in mid-November and had been receiving treatment at St Mary's Hospital since then.
According to the BBC, Mr Kendall's agent confirmed he had died peacefully.
