UP TO 10,000 people in the East Wight woke up to low water supplies or none at all this morning (Saturday).

Southern Water said a burst 12 inch water main near Brading Marshes had affected supplies in the Brading, Ryde and Sandown areas of the Isle of Wight.

Low pressure was also reported in Nettlestone, Pondwell and Lake.

The company was first made aware of a problem at 3am.

Supplies are now beginning to return.
