SOUTHERN Water has been called to repair a burst main.
A spokeswoman said engineers had been called to Whitcombe Road, near Carisbrooke, this morning (Tuesday), following a report of a burst main.
The spokeswoman said at 10.30am that the repairs were expected to take around four hours.
Island Roads said on Twitter: "Whitcombe Nunnery Lane is closed from Whitepit Lane to Cedar Hill, until approximately 1pm tomorrow for emergency water main repair works."
Southern Vectis said its Route 6 service would be diverted from Newport bus station to Upper St James Street, Medina Avenue, St George’s Approach, right into St George’s Way, Blackwater Road, right into Blackwater Hollow, right into Highwood Lane and left towards Chillerton to rejoin the normal journey.
