Buzz about  Champs and The Bees for Rhythmtree

TOP Isle of Wight acts The Bees and Champs have joined the bill for Rhythmtree in July.

The bands will perform on Friday night at the event, which features an eclectic line-up of musicians from around the globe.

Champs, formed by Niton brothers David and Michael Champion, have enjoyed critical acclaim.

Mojo magazine described the pair as dazzling, while the Sunday Times called their debut album Down Like Gold as a thing of beauty.

The Bees, one of the Island’s most successful ever music acts, have had chart success with tracks including Chicken Payback, Wash in the Rain and A Minha Menina.

Recently frontman Paul Butler performed on and produced Michael Kiwanuka’s Mercury prize nominated album Home Again.

Rhythmtree takes place from July 18 to 20 at Three Gates Farm, Calbourne.
