A CANCER awareness day will be held on Thursday at St Mary’s Hospital to give the public advice on the disease.
The open session, from 10am to 2pm, will have representatives from the Wessex Cancer Trust, The John Cheverton Centre, Macmillan Information Centre, and Isle of Wight NHS Trust, to give information.
Anne Snow, lead cancer nurse at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, said: "We are constantly striving to offer holistic as well as high quality cancer care for patients.
"The recent national patient experience survey highlighted areas of good practice, however we are always looking at how to improve services."

Here is a way to improve your services ... How about one of your staff ensuring that a patient's specialized chemotherapy drug is actually on site before the patient is there for their appointment , rather than sending the already distressed patient home for the weekend without administering their first treatment !
