January 12, 2001 9:48: Orpington MathsFest is to take place at the Walnuts Shopping Centre on Friday and Saturday as a grand finale to Maths Year 2000.
Children from schools in Orpington will be hosting the event where people will be able to visit a MathsFest shop to play games, do puzzles and number skills tests and challenges.
There will also be a roving costumed entertainer, competitions and mathematical face painters.
The event, which was organised by Bromley Education Business Partnership, aims to promote links between business and education.
