Cannabis plants found at Isle of Wight address

POLICE arrested two people last night (Monday) on suspicion of drugs offences following a search of a house in St Helens.

Officers found 37 cannabis plants at the address in Carpenters Road and a 23-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of class C drugs.

They were released on police bail until a date next month, according to a police spokeswoman.

Anyone with information about drug related crime can contact their local Safer Neighbourhoods Team on 101.
