A DRIVER who lost control of his car and ploughed into a lamppost in Whippingham today (Monday) was uninjured, according to police.
Emergency services were called to the scene, at the junction of Whippingham Road and Alverstone Road, at around 11.45am.
The junction was closed for 20 minutes while diesel was cleared from the road.
