Michael Price, 60, from Willowmead Square in Marlow can often be seen on the sofas in the Hogshead supping on a pint. He has been a regular at the Marlow High Street pub since it opened

What do you like about the pub?

I like the atmosphere and the mixture of people who come in, it's not just youngsters. It is also spacious and they have sofas instead of hard chairs. I have broken my arm in five places, so at the moment I always make a bee-line for the sofa.

What you tend to drink?

I like a pint of Boddingtons and the occasional glass of wine.

How long have you been coming here and how often do you pop in?

I have been coming here since it opened in 1996. I have lived in Marlow all my life and used to go to the Cross Keys. I still pop in there from time to time. I would say I come here on average two or three times a week, usually with my wife, but I also meet my sons in here or come to read the papers.

What's the food like?

Very good. I like the sausage and mash.

What are the best times you have had in here?

We usually come in when it's quieter, after work during the week. We tend not come down on Friday or Saturday night when it gets really busy. I have had a couple of nice Christmas mornings here, very pleasant.

How would you describe the staff?

They are very good, very professional.
