ISLE OF Wight firefighters spent almost an hour battling a car fire in the early hours of this morning (Monday).

A Yarmouth crew was called to Westhill Lane, near Fort Victoria, just after 2am, where the car and surrounding undergrowth was well alight.

Police were also in attendance, although it is not yet known if the fire is being treated as suspicious.
