Car fire tackled

The burned out car.

A CAR fire broke out in Shanklin this morning (Wednesday).

Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service sent one crew to tackle the incident in Victoria Avenue, after the fire was reported by the owner of the Vauxhall Zafira, at 7.48am.

Police put a road closure in place between Victoria Avenue and Furze Hill while the incident was tackled and said there were no reported injuries.
