Car rescued from ford

THE Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to rescue two people who got stuck attempting to drive through a ford in Carisbrooke this morning (Thursday).

A crew from Ryde was called out to the incident in Spring Lane at 11.30am.

Firefighters used a winch to haul the vehicle out of the ford.

The rescue took about 30 minutes.
