THE fireworks display, organised by Sandown Carnival Association and postponed last month due to bad weather, have been rescheduled.

They will take place on New Year’s Day, starting at 6pm, on the esplanade to the left of the pier.

There will be other entertainment on offer from 5pm, however this does not include a carnival.

"Next year is the carnival’s 125th anniversary and this is a great way to start it with a bang," said organiser Ben Holbrook.
