LONG Lane near Newport was closed after a two car collision this morning (Tuesday).
A Skoda Fabia and a Ford Fiesta collided soon after 9.30am.
An occupant of one of the cars was taken by ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment for an arm injury according to Isle of Wight police.
Southern Vectis said at 10:30am that it was diverting its Route 8 services, via Blackwater to Arreton, as a result of the accident. Pan and Long Lane would not be served while the diversion was in place the company said on Twitter.
*The road re-opened at 10:30am according to police.
