ISLE of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, police, and ambulance crews were called to a car crash on a disused railway line in the early hours of Sunday.
The car had been driving off-road on the old track near the Red Lion pub and The Causeway, when it was involved in a collision shortly before 1am, leaving the driver trapped.
The 18-year-old man was freed, before being taken to St Mary's Hospital with leg injuries, along with three others who were treated for minor injuries.
Police are investigating the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact them on 101. Information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
*Initial information provided by the Isle of Wight ambulance service was that two vehicles collided, however police have since confirmed that only one car was involved.
