Cash to aid Island’s disabled

AN EXTRA £102,000 has been given to the Isle of Wight Council to help disabled people.

The Disabled Facilities Grant, from the Department for Communities and Local Government, will be used to make adaptations to disabled people’s homes.

Perhaps some of the money should go towards making Cowes Social Services disabled friendly ............ steps ? This council needs to move with the times.

my brother cannot use his bath and was told 6 months ago he would have to wait at least a year for a wet room to be installed. chances are he wont live to see it. maybe the £102.000 will see it installed sooner!
