ORGANISATIONS can apply for grants from the Isle of Wight Council to help deliver services for young people on the Island.
In total, up to £275,000 is available through the short breaks and youth offer programmes.
Short-breaks grants provide money for children and young people with disabilities and/or additional needs.
Activities provided via short-breaks grants have included arts and crafts, cooking, drama, cricket, computer gaming, horse riding and skate boarding.
Grants from the youth offer have provided youth clubs for communities, a group for LGBTQ+ young people and a recycling cafe.
Applications for grants of up to £20,000 can be made via the council’s website.
Cllr Jonathan Bacon, former leader of the IW Council and executive member for children’s services, said: "We are delighted to be making these grants available once again and look forward to receiving applications which offer wide-ranging and innovative services and activities for young people on the Island.
"The activities provided in the past thanks to these grants have had a very positive impact on young people’s lives and we have seen an increase in the number of young people engaging in youth services and activities across the Island."
