AS PART of its 70th anniversary year, Vectis Brass celebrated St George’s Day with a concert at Rylstone Gardens, Shanklin.
They kicked off in fitting style with the march, The Standard of St George.
Other items included the trombones playing The Acrobat and the tenor horns playing Hey Jude.
Young cornet player Isabelle Wilson played The Rose as a solo.
The finale included Hubert Parry’s Jerusalem and the soundtrack to War of the Worlds.
Vectis Brass will return to Rylstone Gardens on June 1 at 8pm, and every Thursday in June and July.
