The man knocked at the 55-year-old woman's flat in Farm Road, Hanworth, at 4.45pm on Wednesday, April 26. Saying he was a neighbour, he asked to borrow a sink plunger. But as the woman went in search, he helped himself to her purse containing £65 from the kitchen table.
The thief was white, aged 30, 5ft 7ins, with receding black hair and stubble. Ring police on 020 8247 5842.
