Kingsbury 0

Ware 4

Eight goals against in the final two games of the season just about summed up Kingsbury's worst ever season in the Ryman League.

A couple of weeks back when Town beat Hornchurch and then pulled off one of the surprises of the season by defeating league leaders Hemel Hempstead, it looked as though new manager John Mitchell, brought in to beef up Town at a late stage, had finally got it right.

But the final few games have made it clear that there is still a lot of work to be done if Kingsbury are to make an improved effort next season.

Town completed a dismal season finishing bottom of the Ryman League Division Three with a 4-0 defeat at the hands of a lack-lustre Ware outfit.

As has often been the case, Town looked the better side during the early exchanges and it looked to be just a question of time before they would take the lead.

They had the first chance of the match in the 10th minute when a good build up saw striker Del Watson send his shot just over the crossbar.

Town continued to dominate and spent more time in the Ware half, but were unable to convert their superiority into goals.

Ware took the lead against the run of play almost on half-time. Town's Geoff Rowe lost possession in the Kingsbury half and the ball was fed to Ware's Lee Tekell who ran on and planted wide of keeper Russell Noble.

The ball went back to the centre spot just in time for the referee to blow for half-time.

Ware made it 2-0 early in the second half. Danny Bishop forced the ball home at the far post in the 54th minute after Kingsbury keeper Noble had chased a no-hoper cross and been left sadly out of position.

It took just two minutes for Ware to find the net again when Tekell broke clear and rammed a left footer into the net,

Tekell completed his hat-trick and Town's downfall in the 75th minute flicking the ball over Noble after Adi Olude failed to cut out a cross.
