SKATERBOARDERS can take part in a 67-mile charity challenge next week.

A team of long boarders will skate the coastal paths around the Island to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, on September 24 and 25.

The challenge takes up a clockwise route around the Island and involves two nights camping, on Friday and Saturday night (September 23 and 24.)

Organisers are aiming to beat last year's £1,000 fundraising total.

Skaters from the mainland can also take part and Red Funnel will subsidise travel to and from the Island.

Entry costs £40, which includes camping, food and a donation to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

For more information or for an entry form, call 02380 333377.
