AMERSHAM and Chiltern crashed 20-13 to Salisbury in South West Division Two East rugby match on Saturday.

Chiltern dominated the first half and opened the scoring with a brilliant try from full back Dave Richardson who skipped his way through several tackles before diving over the line and under the posts.

But Chiltern then lost their concentration and conceded two soft tries against the run of play before the break.

But in the second half Chiltern failed to make the most of the strong wind at their backs and did not trouble their opponent's line.

Elsewhere in the Southern Counties North League, Beaconsfield and Wycombe both improved their league position.

Wycs beat Chipping Norton 16-6 at Kingsmead while Beaconsfield overcame Grove 29-13, to avenge their 50-point defeat at the hands of Grove earlier in the campaign.

Skipper Kenny Cotter set Becky on their way with two penalties inside the first ten minutes.

Cotter continued his one-man show when he put the game's first try on the board which he then converted.

Bill Arnold also added his name to the try scorers in the second half but it was Cotter's day as he got the final points with his seventh successful kick of the day.
