If Rachel Bradman is frightened of losing her liberty. She should be more frightened of terrorist attacks than having to carry an ID card (News Shopper, October 3).

Men and women who died in the last war carried them, they helped provide the liberty she now enjoys. No one need fear carrying them unless they have things to hide.

Does she fail to see that Hitler would have invaded Britain and we would have lost freedom of free speech?

With or without terrorists, I see no problem in re-introducing them with safeguards; except for those who are up to no good. So who are you protecting Rachel, law-abiding citizens or law-breakers, or is it just another anti-establishment thing?
