CLASSIC bikes from the golden age of motorcycling graced St Thomas’s Square, Newport, on Saturday for the Isle of Wight Vintage Motorcycle Club’s annual September scurry.

The lovingly restored machines dating from the last century glittered in the sunshine as visitors had the chance to view the bikes and owners had the opportunity to chat about their classic Nortons, Triumphs and BSAs

Among the stars of the show were a three-wheeled Morgan car and a beautifully restored Norton International bike, one of the fastest racing machines of its era.
