JAZZ legend Cleo Laine has had to pull out of forthcoming concerts at Ventnor Winter Gardens through ill health.
An Evening With Cleo Laine and John Dankworth With Friends was due to be staged at the venue on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31.
Dankworth Management, apologising on behalf of Dame Cleo, said she was hospitalised at the end of last week with a chest infection and had been ordered by her physician to cancel all engagements for the foreseeable future.
Ventnor-based Sigma Events Management Ltd is asking ticket-holders to wait for further news and clarification while they check if alternative concert dates can be arranged.
In the interim, the promoters ask all people who bought tickets via the Winter Gardens box office or the Winter Gardens bar to contact them and make themselves known on 01983 856206, or e-mail sigmaevents@btconnect.com and let them know the seat numbers purchased, for which night, contact phone number and e-mail and home addresses so they can be kept updated.
