CHILDREN from Bexley put their vocal chords to use in the name of charity.
Pupils from Hurst Primary School, in Dorchester Avenue, raised £100 by singing and recording songs onto cassette and selling them to friends and family.
They donated the money to the Acorn Children's Cancer Appeal which is raising funds to improve facilities for children and their families staying at Queen Mary's Hospital.
Queen Mary's NHS Hospital Trust chairman and Acorn Appeal chairman Liz Butler said: “It is really wonderful to have their support again. Since 2000, the appeal has raised £240,000.”
