Ryde Extreme Performers were among those to take part in Ryde Carnival on the Isle of Wight.
VOLUNTEERS, businesses, a town council, performers and musicians came together to make an Isle of Wight carnival procession a real community carnival.
Saturday’s Ryde Carnival parade included a big entry of floats from across the Isle of Wight, a blend between the professionalism of entrants including the New Carnival Company and Mas Fusion and families and groups having fun.
The carnival was led by Ryde Town Crier Steve King, followed by Raw Samba.
Meridian Marching Band, from Poole in Dorset, Medina Marching Band and Unidos completed the band line-up.
Vice-chairman, Nicky Graham, who has been involved in Ryde Carnival for 32 years since she was a junior queen’s attendant at the age of nine, said: "It was wonderful to see so many people having fun in the town which makes all the hard work of so many people worthwhile."
