Huddersfield 1

QPR 0

A FIRST half header from Andy Booth proved enough to divide the two sides in this tightly fought game at the McAlpine Stadium.

Huddersfield had the majority of possession during the first half with former Rangers loan-player Leon Knight proving to be a handful in the opening minutes of the first half, constantly attacking the Rangers goal.

Rangers' best moments of pressure came mid-way through the first half with Gallen holding the ball up well as he tried to push the ball through to Thomson, but the swirling wind proved more of a hindrance than the Huddersfield defenders.

After a consistent period of Rangers pressure, they were undone by some nice work by Knight, who collected the ball in the area passed the ball out to Booth who put Huddersfield a goal in front just before half time.

For the start of the second half, Ian Holloway brought on the creative Doudou for Danny Murphy leaving Marcus Bignot to move to left back. Almost immediately Rangers came close to levelling the scores.

Knight continued to pose problems in the second half and on 62 minutes went close with a looping shot from the edge of the area.

Rangers too had their chances. Just three minutes later Gallen put through a great ball to Griffiths, whose shot was collected by the keeper. QPR ending the game without a point.
