Concern mounts for missing man

AN APPEAL to find a man missing since Sunday has been launched by Isle of Wight police.

A police spokesman said they were increasingly concerned about Sam Perkis, 25, of Pell Lane, Ryde. His family have described the disappearance as out of character.

The spokesman said they believed he was still on the Island and they were working with friends, colleagues and family on several lines of enquiry.

Mr Perkis was last seen in the Ryde area on Sunday and is known to drive a British racing green coloured Rover 214, regsitration V375 EHG.

He was described as white, six foot tall with dark hair and hazel-coloured eyes and was last seen wearing a purple polo top, blue jacket, black jeans and trainers.
