Birmingham Bullets 103 Kinder London Towers 115

Kinder London Towers strengthened their hold on the Southern Conference of the BBL Championship on Saturday with a 115-103 victory over the Birmingham Bullets.

A tight opening first two periods meant that both teams were level at 48-48 at the half way point. In the third quarter the Bullets scored the first five points, but the Towers stormed back with an 11-2 run to lead 59-55, which they would never relinquish.

Terrell Myers and John White were joint top scorers for the Towers with a game high haul of 30 points, while Antonio Garcia, Brant Bailey and Rashold Johnson all bagged 22.

Towers return to Euroleague action tomorrow night (Thursday), with a home tie against the Greek side Peristeri at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (tip-off 7.30pm).

On Sunday, Towers take on Brighton Bears in the BBL Trophy quarter final at Skydome Arena, Coventry (tip-off 4pm). Tickets 0845 345 7890.

Milton Keynes Lions 86 Kinder London Towers 74

Milton Keynes Lions continued their good run of form against the Kinder London Towers with an 86-74 success.

Lions started well and though Towers rallied a 10-0 burst by Jason Siemon and Andrew Alleyne had the home side 25-13 clear. Towers closed back to four at the break, but two threes from Nigel Lloyd helped Lions back into a double digit lead.

The Lions lead peaked at 78-81 five minutes from the end.

Brett Eppehimer was top scorer for the Towers with 18 points, Terrel Myers added 16 and John White netted 13.

However, it was Milton Keynes' Andrew Alleyne led all scorers with 23 points, whilst Jason Siemon grabbed 15 boards to go with his 18 points.
