Girls and boys from schools all over the borough splashed their way through the mud at the Merton High Schools Cross Country Championships.
The winner with the biggest margin - of one minute seven seconds - was Paul Drake, 13, of Raynes Park High in the junior boys race.
Terry Savage, 16, of Watermeads High, won the intermediate boys title, ahead of pre-race favourites Mark Paget (Raynes Park High) and Craig Farr (Tamworth Manor).
A clear winner in the junior girls individual race, was 14-year-old Leanne Harvey of Ricards Lodge, who later led her team to a narrow victory over Ursuline Convent girls school in the same category.
Kings College's Jamie McCullagh, 17, took an easy victory in the senior boys individual event - his fifth Merton title in a row.
Christine Thompson won the senior girls race with 14-year-old Michelle Smith of Watermeads winning the inter girls race.
