Crash at Binstead

EMERGENCY services were this morning (Saturday) called to a three car crash at Binstead.

The collision happened at Binstead Hill shortly before 11am.

One person is believed to be trapped in one of the vehicles, according to the IW Fire and Rescue Service.

UPDATE One person was cut free from one of the vehicles and has been taken to St Mary's Hospital by ambulance.

Binstead Hill is clear of traffic.

are they allowed to do that its a public road, unless someone has privatised it since i was along there last week?

It was fine the police directing traffic to Firestone Copse Lane but the lane is so narrow, most of the cars were in the hedges!

Meanwhile, selfish residents at Bartons corner stood across the junction preventing cars from using Newnham lane.
