Youngsters from six to eight told the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff at a day organised by GEMS music adventure workshops.
The children were helped to play real percussion instruments as well as making some of their own to bring the story to life.
The day, at Venturers Boys' Club, Field End Road playing fields, Yeading Avenue, last week, finished with a Troll 'jam session'.
Workshop leader Ian Thiele, said: 'All the children had a lot of fun, and now we are looking forward to the next one.'
GEMS , a group of professional musicians from Harrow, was awarded £3,666 from the National Lottery to run a series of events throughout the year.
