A CASUALTY was reportedly trapped following a road traffic incident near Knighton this afternoon (Monday).
An Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue spokesman said one person had to be cut free following the collision at the junction of Rowlands Lane and Downs Road.
The collision was reported at about 3.30pm. The road was closed at the Hare and Hounds junction according to a witness shortly after 4.30pm.
The ambulance service confirmed a woman had been taken to accident and emergency at St Mary's Hospital.
*At about 5pm fire control said they had left the scene.
