ISLE of Wight Ambulance Service was called to the scene of a two-car collision on Mersley Down this morning (Friday).

Crews were called to the scene, near Newport Shute, at 8.10am.

An ambulance spokesman said that two patients were treated at the scene — believed to be the drivers of the two cars — and both appeared to be uninjured. No one was taken to hospital.

Police were on the scene and the road was expected to be cleared shortly.
