Isle of Wight woman Rachel Titley, who was killed in a collision on Bouldnor Road.
AN INQUEST into the death of a woman following a crash on Friday night, was opened and adjourned by the assistant Isle of Wight coroner today (Tuesday).
Rachel Kathleen Titley, 28, of St Saviour’s Road, Totland, died of her injuries at St Mary’s Hospital, Newport, following a collision on the A3054, near Bouldnor, about 50 yards from the junction of Hill Place Lane.
Miss Titley was heading towards Yarmouth from Shalfleet when her vehicle collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction.
A post mortem concluded Miss Titley died as a result of multiple injuries, which included a fractured skull, assistant coroner Hugh Calloway was told.
A police investigation into the accident is underway, the hearing was told.
The hearing was adjourned to a date yet to be fixed.
