Crash in Freshwater

EMERGENCY services were called to a road traffic collision in Freshwater this afternoon (Thursday).

The ambulance service called for assistance from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service at 3.08pm.

The incident involved a single vehicle on Newport Road, according to fire control.

*At about 4pm a St Mary's Hospital spokesperson confirmed ambulance crew were on scene dealing with a casualty, whose injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Fire control said no-one was trapped.
