RESIDENTS can find out more about the Isle of Wight Crematorium at an open day.
The day will be held on Sunday, June 1, between 11am and 4.30pm and visitors will be given tours of the building and grounds and have the chance to ask questions.
Staff will speak to relatives about how they support families following the death of a relative.
A council spokesman said there had been recent improvements including new bridges in the Woodland Walk, damaged during bad weather.
Visitors will also be able to see work by the Friends of the Crematorium, to transform a pond area into a Japanese style memorial garden.
"The day will conclude with a memorial service which will be held in the crematorium chapel at 4.30pm which will be led by Rev Canon Graham Morris, to give families the opportunity to remember those they have lost," said the spokesman.
