Crews called to gas leak

FIREFIGHTERS and engineers were called to a gas leak in Newport last night (Saturday).

The minor leak was coming from an underground pipe in the road, at Whitepit Lane.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 7.45pm, and gas engineers were called to fix the leak.
