THOUSANDS flocked to Yarmouth this weekend for the Old Gaffers Festival.
The event was held a week earlier than usual due to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – but chairman Debbie Cotton said: "It was an unbelievable few days."
She added: "We were so lucky with the weather, especially after the last couple of months."
"The highlights for me were 'Magical Bones’ in the tent, an escape artist who managed to get himself free of chains through dancing.
"And on Saturday the Yarmouth RNLI gave a fantastic search and rescue display which involved the Solent Coastguard helicopter.
"We have been going for 16 years now and it’s just a great festival for people of all ages.
"Now the committee has a break until September, then we start organising again. We like to think we have had some high quality acts this year and we hope to make next year’s event even better."
